Thursday, June 1

11:59 p.m. - Deputies were dispatched to a complaint at a Lee Township residence. A juvenile was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.

9:00 p.m. - A deputy was dispatched to a Jerome Township location for a report of a baby raccoon in the roadway. The deputy safely removed the baby raccoon from the roadway and placed it into the woods.

8:42 p.m. - Deputies spoke with a 51-year-old woman regarding her 21-year-old stepson driving an unregistered motorcycle without a license. The woman said she only wanted the incident to be documented. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the 21-year-old man.

7:45 p.m. - Deputies were dispatched to a Coleman residence for a suspicious situation. It was reported that a truck was parked in the driveway of a private residence and the caller did not know who the vehicle belonged to. An owner was located and the vehicle was removed.

5:34 p.m. - A deputy spoke with a 57-year-old Greendale Township man over the phone who had questions regarding possible harassing communications and Facebook. Information was provided regarding the applicable law and the personal protection order process.

4:07 p.m. - A 48-year-old Midland man reported that a new travel trailer was stolen from his Lee Township business. The item is valued at $24,927. The incident is under investigation.

Deputies are investigating the theft of a $25,000 travel trailer from a Lee Township business.

2:00 p.m. - Police responded to a hit-and-run crash at Airport Road and Eastman Avenue.

1:13 p.m. - A Midland County Animal Control deputy received a call about a concern a neighbor was having for one of two horses next door in Mills Township. The horse was making a type of distressed sound and the caller was concerned for its welfare. The deputy checked both horses and could not find any problems with the horses.

12:58 p.m. - A deputy assisted with traffic control while multiple fire departments contained a car on fire in a garage at a Lee Township residence.

12:18 p.m. - An animal control deputy received a complaint about a dog running loose from a home in Edenville Township. Contact was made with the dog owner, who was issued a verbal warning.

10:53 a.m. - A 40-year-old Midland woman reported her abandoned residence in Homer Township had been entered. Nothing appeared to be missing, but due to the condition of the residence, this is uncertain. There are no suspects.

10:13 a.m. - A deputy was dispatched to an Ingersoll Township residence to speak with a 65-year-old man regarding damage to a motor home and trailer. Total damage was estimated at $20,150.

9:19 a.m. - The Midland County Sheriff's Office detective bureau submitted for disposal a significant amount of both adjudicated evidence and pharmaceuticals from the Dump Your Drugs effort.

8:26 a.m. - Police responded to the westbound Business US-10/Saginaw Road off-ramp for a property damage crash.

8:09 a.m. - A deputy was dispatched for a delayed report of an unknown man who was "dumpster diving" in Larkin Township. Deputies will continue checking the property because the man has been spotted at the location multiple times.

2:20 a.m. - Deputies located a 44-year-old man hiding on a section of state land in Greendale Township. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with resisting/obstructing/assaulting a police officer. The man was transported to the Midland County Jail.

2:20 a.m. - A deputy met with Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police in Greendale Township to transport a 39-year-old Mount Pleasant man who was arrested by tribal police on an outstanding Midland County bench warrant. The man was transported to the Midland County Jail without incident.

1:11 a.m. - An unknown person failed to pay for $19.91 worth of gasoline from a Coleman gas station. There are no suspects or there is no vehicle description.
