Walking Dead actor, Avi Nash portrayed the character named Siddiq, who was introduced in season 8. He spent his time after the outbreak killing walkers as he believed his mother's teaching that the souls of the humans were trapped in the undead corpses. He was discovered and saved by Carl (Chandler Riggs) and would feel guilty about his death. Nash will star in a new sci-fi series Silo.
Created by Graham Yost, known for Justified, Silo is based on the best-selling novel series by Hugh Howey that will air on AppleTV+. The story follows a group of people who reside in a silo hundreds of stories underground. Set in a dystopian future in a society with regulations believed to protect the community members.
Nash stars as a character named Lukas Kyle, and the other cast members include Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Rebecca Ferguson, Ian Glen, Harriet Walter, and Ferdinand Kingsley.
In an interview with PopCulture.com, Nash had this to say about the series:
It asks really, really big questions about what truth means to a society. There's romantic comedy, or romantic drama… and it's a thriller. I think hopefully it’ll keep people on the edge of their seats.
The series premiers on AppleTV+ on May 5, 2023.
Nash portrayed Siddiq on The Walking Dead from seasons 8-10. He was killed by Dante (Juan Javier Cardenas), who was learned to be a member of the Whisperers who infiltrated Alexandria.
He recently starred in a movie with fellow Walking Dead universe actor Lennie James titled There, There. This film is a romantic comedy written and directed by Andrew Bujalski. Each actor filmed their parts individually due to COVID restrictions.
He has also starred in Barry, Silicon Valley, and It's a Man's World.
Next, he will star in a film, Braid, which centers around three women who have never met but are bonded by something intimate and unique.
