CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams, as well as the police, had their hands full on Manchester Street on Tuesday after a crash led to a fuel spill.
Just past 3:15 p.m., capital region fire dispatch received a report about a car striking the side of a tractor-trailer truck on Manchester Street, between Garvins Falls Road and Old Suncook Road. Dispatch told firefighters that fuel was pilling into the street.
Dispatch said they did not think there were injuries but sent EMTs anyway. The first arriving firefighter confirmed there was leaking from the tank at the bottom.
A New Hampshire State Police trooper also arrived to assist.
A hazmat team was also sent to help with some Speedy Dry.
The fire commander later told dispatch they believed between 75 and 100 gallons of fuel had spilled and pooled in the street.
