Georgia State Patrol has released new details following a deadly crash Monday in Bryan County.

According to GSP, troopers responded at 7:05 p.m. to the crash site on I-16, near Highway 280.

Troopers say the driver of a motorcycle "was traveling at a high rate of speed" and moving in and out of lanes before it slammed into the back of a tractor trailer.

The collision led to the motorcycle catching fire.

I-16 was shut down for hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

On Tuesday, troopers identified the deceased as Matthew Warrick.

No other injuries were reported.
