GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — We’re over a week into spring on the Western Slope, but it's still a great time to hit the slopes.
Powderhorn Mountain Resort is now extending its winter season by an extra week. The slopes are now set to stay open until April 9.
Incredible snow conditions this winter season have allowed the resort to enjoy its longest season ever. Fresh powder last weekend allowed Powderhorn to accumulate a 104-inch snowbase on Monday. Today, the snowbase sits at 98 inches and the mountain has received a total of 342 inches this year.
Powderhorn is currently offering the "Mission Affordable" deal with discounts on single-use day passes and season passes for next year.
Individuals who purchase a season pass for next year can use their pass to access the resort for the remainder of the 2022-2023 winter season.
