Silo premieres in May, and Apple TV+ just released the full trailer for the upcoming drama series based on a bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels.
In the series, a few thousand people are left on earth hiding in a mile-deep silo. But what if everything they’ve ever been told about the outside world is a lie?

Hugh Howey wrote and independently published the Silo series that went on to become New York Times bestsellers.
The books are set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground. It's a society full of regulations that people believe are meant to protect them. But no one knows who built the refuge or when. Rebecca Ferguson will star as Juliette, who’ll be part of solving the mystery after the murder of a loved one.

Silo was created by Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost (Band of Brothers, Justified), who also serves as showrunner. Oscar-nominee Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob, The Imitation Game) directs the first three episodes.
Ferguson was nominated for a Golden Globe for starring in the British television miniseries The White Queen. She was also in two Mission: Impossible films and The Greatest Showman.
Also in the ensemble cast are Common (The Chi), Emmy nominee Harriet Walter (Succession), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead), Critics Choice Award and NAACP winner David Oyelowo (Selma), Emmy-nominee Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation, On the Rocks) and Academy Award winner Tim Robbins (Mystic River).
Silo will make its global premiere on Friday, May 5, 2023 on Apple TV+. Two episodes will be initially be shown, followed by one new episode every Friday.
Watching will come with a $6.99-per-month subscription to Apple's streaming service. That also includes access to Severance, another sci-fi series with a mysterious conspiracy at its heart. It's very popular and also a critic's darling.
