On May 5, Apple TV+ is set to debut its latest series, "Silo". This is set in a post-apocalyptic society, where the world is regulated with fear and discipline and where the outside world is toxic. It is based on the New York Times best-selling dystopian novels by Hugh Howey.
With the release of the series on Friday, here is a sneak peek at the premiere episode of "Silo" which is titled "Freedom Day". Check it out below.
By the looks of the clip above and the trailer that is linked below, in "Silo" there are not many people left that know what is really going on. Not even how the silo came to be and asking questions can be dangerous.
Here is the synopsis for "Silo" provided by Apple TV+
"Silo" is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences.
Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one's murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don't kill you, the truth will.
Joining Ferguson on the series is Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and Tim Robbins.
"Silo" is produced for Apple TV+ by AMC Studios. It is executive produced by Graham Yost, Howey, and Ferguson, along with Morten Tyldum who also directs the first three episodes.
Apple TV+‘s "Silo" premieres exclusively on their streaming service on May 5th with two episodes. Then one episode a week every Friday through June 30.
