Spider Man Across the Spider Verse teaser out. Film to release in India in June

By Bhavna Agarwal: A new teaser for Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse is out. The trailer for the sequel will be dropped on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The film will see Miles Morales return for the next chapter where Spider-Man will be seen catapulted across the multiverse.

The teaser shows Spider-Man encountering a team of Spider-people who are in charge of protecting his existence. However, the heroes clash when they encounter a new threat, the supervillain The Spot (Jason Schwartzman), whose body is covered in interdimensional portals that let him travel the Multiverse.

The teaser shows you get a glimpse at the futuristic Spider-Force leader Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) and Spider-Woman (Issa Rae).

Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release the much awaited Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse on June 2, 2023.

The cast includes Isaac (Moon Knight), returning as the Miguel O'Hara Spider-Man 2099 from Into the Spider-Verse's post-credits scene; Rae (The Lovebirds) as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman; Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther) as Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk; Soni (Deadpool) as Spider-Man India; Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire) as Gwen's father, NYPD Captain George Stacy; and The Lonely Island's Jorma Taccone (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) as the Vulture.

About the sequel, producer and co-writer Christopher Miller said, "When you're growing up, there's that feeling that you want to see what the world has to offer. You want to go out there, and the push-and-pull of wanting to stay rooted with your family and then also [needing to] leave the nest is what the whole movie is about."
