9:00am Trespassing

A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 8000 block of Currier Road to investigate a trespassing complaint. No report was taken.

10:37am Theft

A deputy was sent to a business in the 8000 block of Industrial Parkway to investigate the theft of a laptop computer. No report was taken.

10:42am Tampering with Evidence

A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on State Route 4 to investigate an incident involving a person on probation tampering with evidence. A report was taken, #23-0440.

11:08am Arrest Warrant

As a result of a traffic stop on US Route 33 west of State Route 161, a deputy arrested Shane T. Sias, age 31 of Grove City for an outstanding warrant from Franklin County. He was transferred to the custody of a Franklin County Deputy.

1:25pm Trespassing

A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 8000 block of Wells Road to investigate a trespassing complaint. No report was taken.

2:17pm Criminal Damage

Deputies were sent to a residence in the 23000 block of Rapp Dean Road to investigate damage to a yard and a driveway. A report was taken, #23-0441.

4:54pm Injury Crash / Impaired Driver

Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department and the Washington Township Fire Department responded to an injury crash in the 9000 block of Brock Road involving a 2014 Ford F-150 that drove off the road, struck a culvert, and then struck a tree. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Michael L. Moore age 47 of Mechanicsburg, was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to control. One victim was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital and two reports were taken, #23-0442, and #80-23-218.

7:48pm Check Well Being / Arrest Warrant

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Water Street in Essex for a well-being check. After further investigation, an occupant of the home, Carla J. Jones, age 38 of Marion was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

11:06pm Property Damage Crash

Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the 13000 block of US Route 42 for a property damage crash involving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2023 Freightliner Semi. The State Patrol investigated the crash.

11:26pm Impaired Driver

While assisting the State Patrol with a crash investigation in the 13000 block of US Route 42, a deputy stopped a 2020 GMC Sierra that came to pick up the driver of the previous crash. After further investigation, the driver of the GMC, R. Todd Thatcher age 53 of Hilliard, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Sheriff's Office and a report was taken, #23-0443.

11:46am Recovered Property

A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 13000 block of State Route 161 to take possession of a trail camera that was found. A report was taken, #23-0446.

1:21pm Fraud

A deputy was sent to a residence in the 16000 block of Church Street in New Dover to investigate a gift card scam. A report was taken, #23-0448.

1:50pm Assault

Deputies were dispatched to a detention facility in the 18000 block of State Route 4 to investigate an assault. A report was taken, #23-0447.

3:30pm Dispute

Deputies were sent to a residence in the 17000 block of Navin Road to investigate a dispute between several family members. No report was taken.

3:35pm Theft

A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 20000 block of Paver Barnes Road to investigate the theft of a 14-foot sailboat and trailer. A report was taken, #23-0449.

7:14pm Missing Juvenile

A deputy was sent to a residence on West State Street in Milford Center to investigate a missing juvenile. The juvenile was later located by the Marysville Police Department and a report was taken, #23-0450.

9:46pm Impaired Driver

As a result of a traffic stop on US Route 42 near Ravenhill Parkway, a deputy arrested Robert W. Yoakum, age 45 of Delaware for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Plain City Police Department and a report was taken, #23-0451.

10:07pm Suicide Threat

Deputies were sent to a residence in the 15000 block of Scottslawn Road for a person threatening self-harm. No report was taken.

11:04pm Dispute

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 20000 block of Peoria Loop Road to investigate a property dispute between two males. No report was taken.

June 4, 2023

1:08am Dispute

Deputies were sent to the parking lot of a business in the 21000 block of Main Street in Raymond to investigate a dispute between a male and a female. No report was taken.

7:07am Property Damage Crash

A deputy responded to the intersection of Delaware County Line Road and Leeper Perkins Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle that lost control and drove off the road. A crash report was taken, #80-23-219.

12:38pm Extortion

A deputy met with a resident from the 18000 block of Pine Lane to investigate an extortion attempt involving an internet application. A report was taken, #23-0452.

1:09pm Theft

A deputy was sent to a property in the 26000 block of State Route 37 to investigate the theft of a 2009 flatbed trailer. A report was taken, #23-0453.

2:26pm Dispute

A deputy met with a resident from the 23000 block of Johnson Road to investigate a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. No report was taken.

7:25pm Mental Health

Deputies were sent to a residence in the 23000 block of State Route 347 for a person experiencing a mental health crisis. No report was taken.

7:42pm Dispute

Deputies were sent to a sports complex in the 16000 block of County Home Road to resolve a dispute between a sports official and a tournament official. No report was taken.

9:47pm Mental Health

Deputies were dispatched to a business in the 21000 block of Northwest Parkway for a person experiencing a mental health crisis. No report was taken.
