Two tractor-trailers collided Monday morning on a Massachusetts highway, spilling cargo, fuel and other debris on the road.

Massachusetts State Police said the incident occurred on the eastbound side of Interstate 84 in Sturbridge.

Photos from the scene show the tractor-trailers were torn open and debris was scattered on the road and shoulder.

"Injuries are believed to be minor," troopers said.

All lanes of the highway were blocked by the mess, but traffic was diverted around the scene through a weigh station.

Heavy traffic caused by the incident stretched back to the Connecticut state border.
